Biography

I graduated in Set Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, under the guidance of Professor Piero Buzzichelli. I passed the selection process for the Stage Design Directors and Assistants course taught by set designer Pier Luigi Pizzi at the Galli Bibbiena Academy. I specialized at the Teatro La Scala in Milan. I won an internship in Lisbon at TvRTP to design the set for Jeux Sans Frontières. I subsequently moved to Rome, where I gained extensive experience in set design: from commercials for Yomo, Bauli, Ponti, etc., to numerous plays with directors such as G. Albertazzi, O. Lionello, E. Coltorti, R. Guicciardini, G. Gleijeses, and many others.

After several years of experience, I specialized in television set design, working for a decade as assistant to set designer E. Trixie Zitkowsky for numerous prime time shows, including Big Brother.

In 2003, I became a founding partner of Studio TondoQuadro Snc, which from that moment until 2018 would undertake a series of architectural and set design projects throughout Italy (Cinecittà Entertainment, Mediaset, Tv2000, Colgate Palmolive, Endemol, Rtv38, La3, Sky, Alfa Romeo, Antenna Sud, Giunti Progetti Educativi, and many others). In 2018, I opened a new studio based in Florence, beginning to undertake a series of set design projects for Enel Group, Kering Group, Archivio Foto Locchi, Gruppo Editoriale and Oma, Gruppo MediaNordest, Adecco, Credem, Sace, and many others.

I have received several teaching assignments in set design at the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with the Teatro della Toscana, and I have held several workshops on television set design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Bologna. In 2023, I won a position to teach Lighting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. I have received numerous awards for my artistic production, exhibiting in Italy and abroad. I won first prize in the Maurizio Marchese national competition, which led to a solo exhibition at the Galleria La Cuba D’Oro in Rome. I was selected for the 10th Ugo Betti Award for set design, and I won first prize in the Young Artists Competition at the Teatro la Pergola in
Florence, curated by E. Siciliano and director P. Maccarinelli.
I exhibited my sketches at the XXVI Alatri Art Biennale, at Studio Capparelli in London, at Galleria Il Gabbiano in La Spezia, and at numerous group exhibitions: MINI > MAXI at the Cuba d’Oro gallery in Rome, at the Margutta Art Gallery in Rome – Sacs in Quiliano (Sv) – at Studio Luce in Florence with Uguale Emmecidue, an exhibition on light with a presentation by Tomaso Montanari and Giuseppe Manfridi, curated by Rosanna Tempestini Frizzi with the participation of the Fondazione Architetti di Firenze and the lighting company IGuzzini. The artistic project “Ritratti di Famiglia” (Family Portraits), created with the photographer M. Acciaro, was published in “La Seconda Ora d’Arte” by Tomaso Montanari, published by Einaudi in 2021. I exhibited a series of works with the La Corte Arte Contemporanea gallery, curated by R. Tempestini Frizzi. I designed a series of interior architectural renovation projects for numerous private clients and companies. Over the years, I have continued to write for the magazine Digital ProductionTV, delving ever deeper into the topic of “Design Thinking,” where the key words of design thinking are: integrating skills, ideas, and technologies—with immersive techniques—toward cohesion in scenographic lighting design—with integrated dynamic LED lighting solutions—design, color, and choice of materials.

d’interni e allestimenti per CINECTTA’ Enterteiment, COLGATE PALMOLIVE,
ALFAROMEO e molti altri.
Dal 2016 ad oggi è consulente scenografo progettista freelance di Librì ProgettI Educativi
con cui prende parte a numerosi progetti per ENEL, UPIM, IKEA, BPER BANCA, CONI e
molti altri.
Dal 2018 apre un nuovo studio con sede in Oltrarno a Firenze.
