Biografia
I was born in Munich and have been based in Rome for over 25 years. After a successful career in television production with networks like VIVA TV, Sky Universal, and National Geographic, I decided in 2013 to fully embrace my passion for art.
My work focuses on the dynamic interplay of fabrics and materials, which I transform using fire, water, and chemical processes. I’ve developed a distinctive technique that blends modest materials with luxurious textiles, emphasizing the potential for rebirth and renewal within decay. This constant transformation reflects the fluidity of existence, a recurring theme in my art.
I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work globally, with shows in China, Germany, the UAE, and the United States. In 2023, I held a solo exhibition, Oltre Confine, at the prestigious Museum Castromediano in Lecce, Italy.
My honors include winning the 4th International Emerging Artist Award in Dubai and receiving the Huacui Museum Special Prize at the 19th edition of the Arte Laguna Prize in 2024, which earned me an artist residency at the Huacui Museum in Shanghai, China.
My art is part of both private and public collections, including a commissioned work for the Dutch Railway Network Prorail and a long-term loan at the Castromediano Museum in Lecce.
Today, I continue to create in my studio in central Rome, exploring the transformative power of materials in my work.
