Biography

I was born in the Netherlands, where I studied at the Art Academy and where I approached to ceramic sculpture. Afterwards I worked in the Street Theatre Rotterdam and as a designer – entrepreneur in various artistic fields, first in the Netherlands, then in Florence and Rome.
I returned shaping clay in the early 90s. Berlage and the Amsterdam School make part of my DNA, but my research also finds inspiration in futurism.
I participated in many institutional exhibitions and collaborated with the Archaeological Park of Vulci to realize exhibitions of ceramic sculpture: “Pietra Liquida”, “Il Codice Vulci”, “Vulci Mon Amour” and “In terra di Vulci” and with AdA (Associazione Amici dell’Aventino) for the editions of “In Crypta” in Rome, Todi and Grottaglie.
I exhibited with personal shows of ceramic sculpture for many years in galleries in Italy and abroad and won the European call “In Loco” of the MIBACT (Puglia) for an artist residency in Grottaglie.
In recent years I developed large-scale art projects: OpenBox, in collaboration with AdA, in the Aventine public gardens | Rome, Grancaro Sculpture Park on the shores of Lake Bolsena, LLArt in Farnese, Arte&Vino | Capalbio and the Terraarte park in Blera, using dissimilar materials that often come from the construction world.
On the Montalto di Castro seafront, I created in 2020 a public sculpture in tuff blocks with glazed ceramic inserts. I live and work between Rome and the Maremma.
