Biography

I was born in Rome, I studied architecture, I specialized in architectural design and I obtained my PhD in theory and architectural design.

I founded the architecture studio Officina 5 and then the Rome headquarters of Archea

Study, present in Italy and abroad, participating for 10 years in numerous projects and competitions internationally, publishing writings, dedicating myself to research of architectural design, both from a theoretical and design point as art and architectural relation. In particular in the definition of new topographic architectures, a mix of soil, landscape, architectures and artistic gesture.

For personal reasons I had to feed the necessity for research and deepening in the characteristics of artistic practise, very recently I have graduated in painting and specialized in graphic art, technology of paper materials at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome favoring artistic research over the architectural research. As far as the theme of nature, its materials, its perception, its cyclic, in processing, remains submitted to the work. The means of expression, often used to the limit of their peculiarity, are different, from papers and natural auto-produced colors, to digitally designed images, photography, shooting with the scanner as an optical device en plein air.

As far as the medium paper, a lively, sensitive, emotional material, capable of registering the movements of hands and body, both in the sheets that I make myself and in the color- matter drafting is always present.

Aesthetic rigor and poetry. The work certainly starts from an obsession.

Reflections of the earthly and heavenly landscape, on the cartographers, on perceptive

and physical phenomena in which we are immersed, are accompanied by transformations, dissolutions, disappearance of things and nature, or circular thoughts between life and death, time and memory as thought and not as past. Classification, archive, list, constellation, not only the methods used in my practices but necessity of thought.
